The Stardance Experience is slated to be produced and presented in the 70/15 “Large Format” pioneered by the IMAX® corporation.
A departure from the YOU ARE THERE grand vista documentaries shown at museums and science center based large-format theaters, the Stardance Experience combines artistic and humanistic themes with the backdrop of science and space exploration – creating a dramatic work appropriate to any Large Format venue.
The piece has three major goals:
Artistic Goal: To create “entertaining art” that combines the physical (dance) visual (cinema) dramatic (story) and musical elements to transcend genre and elevate perception of speculative themes.
Humanistic Goal: To promote and foster broader international public interest and fascination with the possibilities of space and space exploration and help re-ignite a “renaissance of the stars.”
Financial Goal: To create a return on investment for our sponsors (through exposure, association, publicity and public influence) and investors (box office return and licensing opportunities through multiple mediums of distribution including Hi-Definition TV and Web/DVD distribution methods.)
